ABOUT ME DAD AND A DAMP SQUIB

The Damp Squid co is run by us, Dad & Daughter team. Dad is head of Operations, having kindly donated his beautifully organised, refurbished (seriously he put in squidgy flooring) Lego store and Man Cave/ garage to the cause and converted it into Damp Squid HQ. He handles anything logistics/ IT based and is usually left in charge of R&D.  Me, well they say I am the creative one; my main job is to produce the designs for our t-shirts (I do occasionally do other things, including a cracking cuppa). I hope to one day be able to make this my job, if enough people like my work.

Damp Squid was borne from a conversation about the sayings and phrases we get confused, with one family member asking the big question; ‘what even is a squib?’. This conversation sparked an idea – t-shirts featuring some of the funnier idioms we often mix -up.  As a family of gigglers and optimists, we like to think of it as a reminder that sometimes you can get things not quite right, and still end up with something great.  

All of our products are designed, printed, cut and pressed by us (in the hi-jacked man cave). We use 100% cotton for our t-shirts and bags, and water-based inks in our products. All of our postage packaging is 100% recyclable, and we are always striving to be as planet-friendly as we can, including using solar generated electric and continually recycling.
